About me

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Arkansas, where I study the evolutionary history of the false foxgloves (genus Agalinis) and the genomic signatures of the parasitic lifestyle in Orobanchaceae, the largest family of parasitic plants. I am originally from Brazil and grew up in Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of the country. My research aims to integrate phylogenomics, population genetics, and comparative genomics to investigate plant evolution (see more about my projects in the Research tab). I believe in collaborative and inclusive science, and outside of academia, I enjoy reading thriller and mystery books, listening to pop music, swimming, playing board games, cross-stitching, and exploring new places!
